Dave Warren
Dave composes for film, TV, commercials, and games.
He has produced compositions for ABC television affiliate KGTV, where he was contracted to score a news theme and promotional music, as well as for other broadcast stations including Minnesota Public television.
Currently he is obtaining his masters degree in Film Scoring from the Berklee College of Music. He previously studied within the UCLA Extension Film Scoring Program, with focus on composition and instrumentation.
As a performer, Dave plays both guitar and piano. In the southern California area he has served both as band leader and supporting musician in groups of many styles – jazz, funk, acoustic, and cover groups. He has been contracted to perform at Sea World (San Diego).
Warren’s first solo release, Funplay, was featured on KSDS Jazz 88, where he was the station’s featured artist in 2002.
Dave studies with Peter Sprague and conductor and worked with musical director Kenneth Bell of the Pacific Coast Concert Band.
He recently completed an internship as composer assistant, working with Joey Newman in Los Angeles, while Joey composed for a documentary (Peacock) and feature film (Hallmark streaming).
Dave is also an accomplished broadcast designer and filmmaker, and received an Emmy nomination for his work at KGTV-ABC.
